De-escalating Volatile Situations in the Workplace

This unique class is designed to guide attendees on recognizing and coping with potential volatile events in the workplace. It covers how to identify “red flags” such as:

    • Stress
    • Agitation
    • Aggressive tone or action
    • Lack of cooperation
    • Emotional Outbursts
    • Bullying

Also discussed is the psychology of anger and violent reactions and how to use the appropriate body language and tone of voice when in a tense and unpredictable event. The class will give attendees an insight into how to handle employees that are upset and exhibiting anger and when it is best to back away and call for emergency response. Case scenarios and discussions will be used in this timely and important course.
